How is Lottie doing this morning?
She actually let me have a really good look @ her today & she's obviously been molting for some time~ longer & harder than I thought. The new pin feathers are coming through nicely though so hopefully we are about done with the worst of it.

Just a comment about heavy moulting hens and pin feathers. One should try not to handle chickens at the early stage on pin feathers. If a pin feather breaks they bleed and don't stop.

Thanks, Shad. I didn't know but I was really careful & very gentle. I don't normally handle her. She chooses whether or not to eat from my knee.
