They are lovely. TY for letting us know where you got your OE from.I bought my Olive Egger from my local produce store MaryJanet.
I asked them to keep an Olive Egger and an Araucana for me next time they were getting chicks.View attachment 1757783 This is Edwina (Olive Egger) yesterday . 7weeks old

and Alice (Araucana), 7 weeks old.
She has a very obvious tail now, but as long as she lays blue eggs I'm not too fussed about her breeding

Hmmm so far I haven't been able to locate any in South Australia. I still haven't emailed the poultry association though. I'll try that next.Fresh air maybe?Chooks can't see well in the dark so why is half my flock facing so they can stare out the air vent when they roost? And yes, it was dark when I did tonight's check on them.

Very possibly.Fresh air maybe?
They have plenty of fresh air the other way too. Wonder if maybe it's watching for predators: 1/2 face 1 way, 1/2 the other.

Evening, Bob.Evening to those down under, morning for everyone else
You'll have fun here.
About to shut down for the night so I can do a 4am runner again.
Nah, it's raining & getting coolish & the cat keeps wanting to sit on top of me so I may as well take him to bed where he can snuggle as he likes. Not spoilt , much.
