Ribh's D'Coopage

They are gorgeous. And look like they all get on well together. That's so nice! :) Do you have them all full time?

I have my daughter 50/50 with her dad. Rich wants his kids 50/50, but his ex-wife wants child support so she refuses. It's rather unfortunate, but things are starting to change. His daughter has already said she wants to move in with us full time as soon as she can.

Hello friends :)
The doctor said my injuries are exactly what he'd expect from that sort of crash. Neck and shoulder strains and he gave me a note for an xray in case the pain doesn't clear up. He took lots of notes in case it turns into a long term injury.
I called my insurance provider and they said damage to my car is covered in the event the other driver turns out to be uninsured, and they're going to chase all of that up. So that's good news! Their claims people will look into and decide whether to fix the car or send me a cheque. I hope they fix it, I love that little car, it's such a trooper.
Lastly, my cousin will lend me his car for 3 months from the end of July. So I've only got two weeks on the trains, which is quite doable. I'll use the time to read.
So that's the news :)Everything is looking up.

It's great that you've got everything covered MJ.
Hope it's only muscle strain but I'm glad the doctor is thinking long term.
Take good care of yourself!:hugs

Sounds like you have a really good doctor. Thorough. Glad everything seems ok. :)

They'll probably write it off. Even if it looks ok they worry about structural damage that can't always be seen but can be fatal later on.

Messy. The good part is things are working your end. Well done!

This morning we have the sea mist back. Coldish, but not as cold as it has been. The girls are up & honking ~ yes, honking. It's what they do when they want attention. I've been out to say good morning but they're crazier than they act if they think I'm standing out there in the cold for their amusement!

And because we haven't had one for a while...last night's dinner. For once my omelet didn't end up more scrambled than omelet. Our neighbour has been sharing the most delicious baby chokos. Nothing better, hot with melting butter & black pepper. Mmmmm. A mix of everyone's eggs 'cause the lad is back ~ fishing not tiling... :( Hopefully there will be some movement on the bathroom front today.

I finished of the rug for my mother's birthday present ~ deliverable when she decides to return to Australia... I'm still deciding if I will add some ribbon & buttons to this. It jazzes it up a little & I left a double crochet row for threading ribbon so I will have a look @ Lincraft next time I'm on the mainland.

And last night I had my first fiddle with Tunisian crochet, thanks to You Tube. Hmmmm....:hmm Just like knitting the longer hook is problematic for me & my first issue is my tension. My tendency is to crochet quite tightly ~ but then I can't get my hook into the stitches for the next row so I will have to work on that. I am going to practice on a much larger regular crochet hook [just because I have one of those] & then get some yarn next mainland trip & try some simple dishcloths. If I can manage those without having a serious meltdown I will have a shot @ one of the things I am learning all this for!:lau It is rather pretty ~ & way more versatile than regular crochet ...but we shall see. I may not be able to manage learning a new skill & incomprehensible instructions @ one & the same time.:barnie

Morning Jeannie :frow Looks so awesome. Sue's got more pics to post but I need to teach a bit more.
:frowHey there Bob.:) Didn't miss you this morning!

I will look forward to the pics when they arrive.:love

I have the opposite problem - my scrambleds end up omelette. Usually because I've become distracted :he

My uncle also mentioned structural damage to the car :hitSo I've been looking on carsales and I've realised if I chip in some additional money to the insurance payment, it will stretch to a car that should last a good decade or so.

Also, Mary the Australorp is a honker too! More accurately, she has a wide range of different noises and my favourite is the high pitched squeak that means "this snack is deeeeewishus" :lovebut the honk is good for a laugh :clap

Have a great Saturday mate :thumbsup
