Our neighbours dropped of a load of unsplit wood so I grabbed the wheelbarrow & snaveled 3 of the larger logs for the run. 1/2 a bale of sugar cane mulch to keep them happy because it is cold outside, baby.

Just wanted to say I feel sad for little Daffodil. I think it must've hurt to lose all those feathers in one go. I know how attached we can get to our chickens, they're very endearing and I'm very attached to my three. It makes us observant and when things go wrong, worried. So, I understand your feelings. I hope it all clears up soon.

Good morning everyone! Friday morning, another full day at the office for me (cooped up chooks) but I've got a four day stretech of weekend and working at home, so they can spend lots of time in the yard Mary has laid six eggs since she got going again, so that's good! But she skipped yesterday. Her record is 7 in a row.
What's the news from everyone else's coop?

Just the opening I needed MJ!
All 4 of my girls are now laying! Though not every day.
Alice's first egg was in the nest box when I checked today.

So here is my current line up.

Tsuki and Deana will be 4 years old in November. It's hard to believe they laid eggs as small as Edwina's and Alice's 3.5 years ago...
How fast they grow!

They are gorgeous! And you have one of every colour... White, brown, blue, green, pink and speckled! I'm so envious

Beautiful eggs! I had a full haul today too!
