Ooooo, that’s always nice!
We are finally getting some rain so that cools things a bit... some of the gals are actually out in the rain! Sometimes I wonder if they are part duck ... the way they dig around in puddles and play in the rain...

All the insects & grubs come closer to the surface with a bit of rain. The foragers can really feast!

Bit hit & run this morning as it is a mainland day. Will be so pleased when we don't have to do this every week chasing building materials!

Bob, your teens are just gorgeous! Hope they are behaving themselves!

MJ even though I hated the city, I love that pic. reminds me of when Sue and I would sneak off for weekend dates away from the kids. Of course it was when they were old enough for self care and the neighbors kept a close eye on who was coming and going.

Right... and they also love it when I dump buckets of water in the run... they love digging through the big mud puddles... then when the water goes down they lay in them ... anything to cool down!

I have put old car tyres in my run, filled them with dirt and seed and covered them with wire for grazing frames. This morning I took the cover off one so they could scratch around.

Deana got extremely excited and possessive. You know in cartoons when the chicken pulls a worm out of the ground? That's just what it looked like, I thought she'd found some string at first. There were so many earth worms!

Pity I didn't have my camera with me.
