Ribh's D'Coopage

Hello everyone :frow Hope all is going well. Work is keeping me busy as today was the first day with the children :( lots of little's that have never been away from family, so lots of crying. I love reading about your adventures and all. We get to have fun processing some birds on our long weekend coming up-can we say fun, not really.

The colour arrived after sunrise this morning, further to the south & half hidden in the trees.

I absolutely adore the roosting shots as well.

I love going into the coop as the girls are roosting. It is such a nice time of the day. Whatever's gone on in the day is forgotten & everyone is friends again.

Even my three bachelors manage toroost together peacefully once dusk has fully settled and it starts to move into full dark...

I've suspected for a while that these 2 are my absolute favourite chickens! Now they have settled down & trust me they are so much fun!
They're gentle when taking feed from my hand, vocal when they want attention, smart & funny & so very, very pretty~ & they aren't pushy!

It's been a while...No treats because I knew we'd have veggie scraps later from the dinner prep but that is Bob's blanket you catch a glimpse of! ;)

Have you got any left footers in the flock? They'll have a preference to stand on their right foot first to scratch.

I can always rely on you for an interesting observation, @Shadrach. I have no idea. I will have to pay closer attention.

The reason I ask is I'm trying to find out if if left footed chickens also have the eye functions reversed. There is a left footer two farms down from me which I treated for an injury last year and she seemed to have her eye function reversed.:)
Sorry, boring stuff. Lovely pictures btw.:)
