So we have been having a good bit of rain here lately, and I thought I would share my gorgeous “white” chicken with everyone... I think Sammy found himself a bit of mud somewhere! How he got it so artfully streaking his feathers is beyond me. Even dirty, he’s a vain camera hog

That is one beautiful rooster. :lau

I was thinking the same! Enabler much? You can never have too many chickens... :p

My husband told me he had an anxiety dream last night where the backyard was full of cages with animals in them. He said that he thought the tiger was one too many... :rant:gig

I think I broke him when I bought my last chicken (Pepper)

Well, he has a point. That's 11 animals at our place not including the people on an average suburban lot. :hmm

Evening folks :frow

Kris, it's amazing how dirty a white chicken can get, but he's still stunning.

Usually he just goes to town in dry dirt and gets himself sort of buff/tan colored, this mud steaked thing is a new look for him.

Ok, that is a lot of critters for a suburban lot... and I agree the tiger was probably a little too much. And I’m a cat person! There was a “pet” cougar in my grandparents neighborhood when I was a child, and we think the fencing needs of chickens are taxing? Lol! He had a license for it, but it had 6’ of chainlink sloped inward atop 8’ of solid panel fencing. The chainlink was anchored in a 3’ trench filled with concrete. He had stricter fencing requirements that the local zoo. Reason I still remember this? I was fascinated by the idea and thought we should have one too! Apparently they don’t make great apartment pets though (according to my mom at least!)

I did work with a guy who had a Lion growing up on a horse ranch in Mexico... so really it might not be as absurd as it sounds at first.
