I had my colonoscopy done yesterday. The test went well. They found some inflammation and took a bunch of biopsies so now I wait for those results.

The past 3 years I've struggled with many things in my life. First was being diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer. Since I have had my surgery, despite medication, I have gained over 50 pounds. I do not like what I see when I look in the mirror and no diet or exercise makes any real difference.

Rich is one of the few people I've had in my life that truly loves me for me no matter my size. He often tells me I'm beautiful, but I honestly don't feel it.

Last night we were sitting at the kitchen table and he took this picture of me when I let my hair down. It's not often that I share pictures of myself...

I understand. I call myself "too big" too but the people who love us say "whaaat?!" and we need to try and see ourselves through their eyes.

Also: yay for big!!! All the shapes are awesome

And what gorgeous thick hair! I have to agree with Bob and everyone else. Beauty isn’t a weight goal, symmetry, or perfect skin and makeup. It’s a part of your soul. Rich is a very lucky man! 5 or 50lbs doesn’t affect it, you’re a beautiful person (but I feel you on the picture thing... I dodge cameras like the plague, they just make me uncomfortable)

I hate picures too - they never seem to match the image I carry around of me (in my mind). Too much reality can be a real downer.

It was blowing 30~35ks when we headed inter~island today.

Absolutely miserable.
Have just forcibly sent the girls to roost because we have a massive storm breaking over our heads.

I'm glad your colonoscopy went well. Hoping for helpful results!

I have to agree with everyone , that's a brilliant photo. I was struck by how thick and lustrous your hair is.

I think we are sharing the same winds down here too Ribh, except there is more shelter in the mountains. Stay safe up there!

We always stay safe. I hate big wind though. Things bounce off our roof all night long & we can hear the surf pounding Minjerribah. It gets very noisy. *sigh*
