I became more tolerant of Halloween once it became clear kids should knock on the doors of the decorated houses. I haven't yet decorated my house but some of the neighbours do. And by Bob's hens looked great in their outfits

No trick or treaters for our neighborhood. We had snow and rain & awful conditions. I can't remember it ever snowing on Halloween. Bet weather in the coming year will be a real doozy

That’s how it went in our area as well when we were in the city. Granted, as a young teen I occasionally ignored that in hopes of more candy

Thanks everyone for all the kind thoughts on the pour... it went ok. It was a long day, and Andrew and I are totally exhausted. There were a few “oh no!” Moments regarding the structural integrity of the forms (we almost lost the tallest wall, but got it braced up before it gave way) I promise to post some pics once the forms are stripped off!

That seems like a fair & equitable way of doing things. Part of the problem round here is there is no set etiquette as it's relatively new.

This morning started early.

The Jacarandas are out.

This evening's sunset amused me. It sorta looked like running boots under the big cloud.

So pleased to be home.
It is always exhausting travelling & the boat that would have got us home before dark pulled out on us.
The girls had gone to roost but looked healthy & happy though I know they hate days spent all in the coop. 5 eggs in the box. Still food in the feeder & the couple I could reach had full crops.

The cats were frantic. They'd run out of food & emptied their water bowl, which is very unusual.

Lovely day though.​

Thanks, Bob. Got a bit of rain along the way. So needed. All the grass is burnt white & many dams are dry. Others terribly low.
