The Jacarandas are out.

This evening's sunset amused me. It sorta looked like running boots under the big cloud.

So pleased to be home.
It is always exhausting travelling & the boat that would have got us home before dark pulled out on us. :(
The girls had gone to roost but looked healthy & happy though I know they hate days spent all in the coop. 5 eggs in the box. Still food in the feeder & the couple I could reach had full crops.

The cats were frantic. They'd run out of food & emptied their water bowl, which is very unusual.

Lovely day though.

Amazing photos. The colors are so rich. I remember when you bought different brands of color film for different color richness. For great greens use Fuji film for example. The colors we get from phones are amazing.

My only complaint with the iPhone 8’s camera is it doesn’t take good low light photos. Dusk or moon shots don’t work out for me very well. But there’s also the convenience of not having to deal with film, and I went for the most memory available, so there’s plenty of room for all 300 cow pictures, 500 cat pictures, 1000’s of chicken pictures. And there’s the added bonus of the “I always have it with me” factor

Wonderful shots, I love how colorful those trees are! The closest thing I could compare them to here is the ornamental cherries that are planted all over the city in Vancouver. And I’m not a huge “pink” lover color-wise, though I’ve grown to appreciate it more as I’ve gotten older. Do the blossoms fall off all at once? When the cherries are done blooming it can resemble a pink rain here.

The petals fall gradually but throughout October/November Queensland streets are carpeted in mauve & red. The Poincianas flower @ the same time. I love them but some people complain about the mess.

It's a sad day around here today... Sue's foster Mom passed this morning. She's been in hospice for the last couple of weeks, but I guess you're never really prepared.
:hugsHugs for you & Sue, Bob. Loss is never easy ~ even when it is expected.

So I let the girls out as soon as I got up this morning.
We all hate when they have to be confined for a whole day! I sat with them for a bit but so early the sandies are fierce so I've resorted to more coffee.:lau

They have a lovely day today. Chooks have good eyesight so I'm assuming they appreciate their view as much as I do.
