Ribh's D'Coopage

Thanks for the tag, I chipped in but was sorta hopeless. Am following along for future reference. I need to know this stuff.
I've really no idea either. I know it's been an issue up here in cyclone season & some places were accommodating animals but chooks are sorta difficult.

We have to be on the mainland tomorrow & will be as fast as possible because weather conditions are set to be extreme & I worry about our animals. The cats should be fine but the girls will be in their coop until we get home. Lots of shade & water but I'd still prefer they had lots of options.

Freeze some water and fruit pieces in an ice cream container overnight Ribh. Empty it in a tray in their run while you are away tomorrow. I believe this was your idea that I just stole :D;) !

I put mine in a clean kitty litter tray so they can paddle and peck at the same time!

lol I'm out of freezer space & milk bottles. I usually only stockpile for the hot summer weather, which still hadn't arrived 2 days ago.

Good evening folks :frow

I tossed my two cents in as well.
Thanks, Bob. I didn't tag you because I know how busy everyone has been this past week. Certainly hope you get some breathing space now.

Good evening everyone :frow

Prayers for everyone effect with the fires.
We're well out of the way of them here, thanks Sue, but they are soooo big lots of us are being affected by the smoke.

A few years ago we had a day trip to the mainland with a friend & came home to find the southern 1/2 of the island cut off [where my friend lived]. We could see the smoke plume from the mainland but didn't know which island or how big or where. @ the time there wasn't a specified evac centre. The powers that be have since rectified that.:gig

Most summers the large sand island to our east burns completely [it's indigenous land & mostly all bush] & that means watching for falling embers & spot fires starting up. It's not usually a problem but we're not usually this dry either.
