Hey there, Bob & Sue. How was your weekend ~ besides sausage making...

Still not sausage making yet, but getting prepared. It's been a good weekend, got all our supplies for the feast Thursday. Getting ready to strain the stock for the soup. It's been simmering for almost 12 hours. I harvested the meat 4 hours in... So now to get it all jarred up and into the fridge so I'll have my base all ready for Thursday's soup. Oh, and I have an Asiago cheese bread in the oven as we speak.

btw, Good morning... Once I get the stock strained and jarred up, I'll make dinner.

Good morning everyone Not sure I'm ready for Monday -but it's a short week

We have a new normal. While everyone was cross & out of sorts I was supervising roosting to ensure Miss meanie broody~pants didn't beat everyone up & got up on a roost like she was supposed to. A week later apparently everyone was waiting on me showing up before showing me how nicely they can all line up & hop up on a roost with no pecking & no fighting! Good grief! It was almost dark. I expected to just have to say good~night. Instead I was greeted by a rapturous chorus before they did their butter wouldn't melt routine.
