I love my big girls! The fluffier the better!!!

Fluff is good ~ but Soda isn't fluffy. She's *meaty* If I want fluff, that would be my Frizzle.

I prefer to shop online this time of year. I hate crowds... And it doesn't help that I'm hypervigillant.

By barred rock is still on the small side, but she's still not a year old yet. My fluffiest by far are my Buff Orpingtons!! I love sinking my fingers into their feathers and giving them a good scratching. They love it too!

I've not kept buff orps ~ & probably won't as they have a reputation for going broody & more broody girls I do not need.

Mary tried being broody yesterday. She went missing for a few hours and I was worried so I went looking and found her flattened out on the nest and looking snakey. So I patted her gently a few times and she ran off honking. I wonder what she'll get up to today I'd better get the long gloves ready! She'll be snapping at me soon.

I must be very lucky, none of my girls have ever been mean while broody. They go all screeching pancake on me but never bite at me.

Even my roos are very personable. The only one I'm having any sorts of issues with is BG, the one I hatched out this spring, but he just needs manors and we're working on that.
