An even numbered flock just seems more stable. Of course I have no science to support that, just my observations.

I'll keep that in mind. I was going to bring my flock up to 13 but if I need evens then evens it will be. After all, more chickens is always good, right?

The run encompasses 2 huge iron barks & a flame tree as well as this ficus.
If you know ficus you know many are weepers or @ the very least grow close to the ground, as this one did. No longer! The girls have decimated the lower leaves & now get their daily exercise leaping for the higher leaves. This has been made easier by pushing so much leaf litter downhill they have raised the soil level by nearly a foot in places. Being so much taller than anyone else, Patricia still gets her daily fix.​

I like Canadians.
It seems I particularly like Canadians who live on islands.
Yesterday, being a mainland day, I picked up yarn. This is for my very 1st Canadian internet friend. We *met* as homeschoolers & have watched each others kids grow up. This is for her daughter's 2nd baby.​
