Ribh's D'Coopage

I have to smile when I read about 4 foot high fences for chickens.:D
Oh, yes. It was a very temporary solution that has extended longer than intended:lau Unfortunately I'm no carpenter & am still waiting on the man getting round to the permanent fix. One with a roof!

What we used to get out of the tap, we are now paying a couple of dollars for(flavored water), I guess Marlow is still old school(you go boy)...
Hi, Ted. Yep. No flies on this lad.

All good. I'm just a woos about needles. And the heat has been awful the last few days. Both the chooks & I have been unhappy.

The heat can make things so much worse. I sure hope you guys get some relief soon. I can't even begin to wrap my head around the heat at MJ's neck of the woods.

Is Stanley a Barred Rock? I get muddled with the birds that all look similar but are different breeds & my BRs have slate coloured legs. That's a lovely crow. He's certainly a good looking boy!

Yes Stanley is a Barred Rock. He also has a mate, Veronica. Anna picked these guys out last Spring. She previously had Easter Eggers, but they both died before they turned 2. She is so proud of Stanley too!

She's learning about life cycles in school right now, so I spoke with her teacher and we're going to set up an incubator for them with our eggs. I've also gotten the ok to take in a chicken for a visit!

I was sitting in the yard with the hens nearby when I played your video. His crow went straight to Mary and Sandy's hearts :loveMary made a facial expression and Sandy purred! Janet, I'm sorry to say, was unmoved. The pullets were oblivious.

Awe how sweet!! Stanley can have a long distance relationship with his Aussie girls!
