Ribh's D'Coopage

Such a beautiful bird.

When I saw them scratching around the run in your video my first thought was "bald eagle?"
That's so funny because she's really, really timid. Defers to everyone & looks to her sister for the lead. But good for her tonight. Mhari finally roosted without me having to hoy her out of a nest box but everyone else, including Wrold, had scored a spot on the top bar. Wrold doesn't usually manage that but tonight she did! :)

Once all this corona-craziness is over, if there’s ever an international microbiology conference in Sydney, let me know and we can catch up! :D
I'd love that. I need to look for one. I was supposed to at a conference in Paris this week. Would've been my first time. Then Mrs BY Bob and I were headed to Italy. All COVID'ed away. :(

WROLD:
My scaredy chicken.
She is always last out of the coop & @ the bottom of the pecking order.
She is such a Nervous Nellie she flew out of the coop & straight across the run & over the far fence ~ a good 20'!
Bedlam!
She had no idea how to get back in the coop & the sight of me trying to round her up did not reassure her!
When I finally nabbed her she chittered crossly @ me all the way to the departure point.

I think she's close to laying as her face is a beautiful red but I find it hard to tell with these rose combs. Her sister is much paler still.

Gorgeous picture! :love

I think the days of cheap and easy international travel may be over. This may not be a bad thing imo. It's been lovely and quiet here. We are below the flight path for Barcelona and the lack of aircraft noise is very noticeable.

Fat Bird waiting for her morning carry.
