Today it was simply too hot to venture outside. I bought Anna a canopy bed, but hadn't put it up yet, so I decided today was the day!! Rich volunteered to help take the old one down and put the new one up. It went surprisingly well! We needed a break, but the mattress and box spring will be on tonight and the canopy surround needs to go up too.

It took less then a hour to get the frame together. I'm impressed with the quality as well. I bought it off Amazon and have been pleasantly surprised.

Anna has no idea we were doing this today, so it will be a complete surprise for her Monday night!

That is just darling. She is a lucky young lady.

Bob, I am waaay behind everywhere. The 3 yr old keeps losing the plot over nothing & my tolerance for mouthy 3yr olds is zero. I am biting my tongue a lot & just walking away. Reasonable beings 3 yr olds are not. It will all settle shortly & life will be easier all round. The kids will cope better & I can deal with Mhari & catch up on my chookie reading.

They were an expert on everything and knew so much more than me.

They were an expert on everything and knew so much more than me.

I don't want to argue about every blessed thing. Yesterday I asked him to come & speak to me. I wanted to ask if he wanted to come out to feed the chickens & put his shoes on. He didn't want to come & speak to me so I never asked about the other. I just went out to the chickens without him. So then there was a commotion about that. I'm not a very indulgent grandparent.

Yep. He was being totally contrary mary- so I left him to it.

Everyone got to spend some time with me & Mhari is in broody jail.
