Phew! Thanks for that mate.
What??? You mean it isn’t all idyllic strolling through pastures with a little flock of sheep Following in a most docile manner at your heels; of course their wool will be pristine and they will smell like roses too!One doesn't have to go for the full on experience.
Just having a bit more space for the flock you have might be appealing. Like Kris, I wouldn't recommend trying for a full on farm. The work load is enormous. Many people I think who head off to the country to live the homesteading type life do not understand the amount of sheer hard work that's involved. Even if one had plenty of money and can get the groundwork done by tradies (been dying to use that word) the day to day stuff still needs doing.
You can get mini jerseys and dexters... way less trouble than goats IMO, but then you have to get them bred for milking, and then you need to deal with the calves... so cute! Not to mention milking at least once every. Single. day. Yeah, maybe just buy milk... seriously though, cattle are the easiest normal livestock to “manage” as far as I’m concerned.Good use of the word tradies. I upgraded for space a while back with retirement in mind but I don't think I will go for big animals - I do enjoy growing my food and I will expand the number of chickens for sure. But I am not up for coos. I did think about goats but they are quite a handful.
Yes she would. You have saved her life twice now by being a vigilant chickeneer. You deserve kudos, not self-doubt.Hmmm I'm not sure Peggy would agree with you.
I think we should create a chart of wrathness. How would you rank them?“The Wrath of Peggy”
Doesn’t bare thinking about.....
Crikey! Here's me wishing I hadn't made her sick in the first place!Yes she would. You have saved her life twice now by being a vigilant chickeneer. You deserve kudos, not self-doubt.

This is why I kept thinking Aurora must be feeling unwell.Aurora is ahead of Peggy I think.
Peggy was crabby because she had a guts ache and because Mary had been on the brood. They're thick as thieves now the dust has settled.
