That's how feel about Shakespeare...

I'm sorry CCCL. I have terrible trouble coming up with names or remembering which intake is which. If I have a theme it is helpful. I know all those ladies belong together & I had quite a lot this time. Last time it was Gaelic queens ~ but I don't have a lot of choices left & the spelling so often does for me.

Wrold is in the bathroom.
The silly girl is not getting off the nest @ all [though given our weather I can hardly blame her] & when I force her she spends her whole time running round bokking & barely eats. When I lift her I can really feel her keel bone so I have had enough! Alpia gave up a couple of days ago & is back running with the flock.. Wrold can cool her heels in the bathroom until she's feeling sensible again. Hopefully that will be soon. She's alarming @ all sorts of harmless things!

Cashew had started getting weak when she was broody. Once I decided to allow her chicks, I started bring feed and water to her nest. She didn’t touch the feed or water, but took really well to raw egg.

Sounds like a storm!

Not a storm but there is a large cloud band & cold front working it's way west & we are in the direct line of fire. I'm not a fan of big wind but we desperately need the rain so I'm not complaining. Really I'm not.

We have had a name change.
Whenever I went to write about this sweet girl I found myself typing *Gloria* instead of
*Beatrice.*
Now look here, I said, we are having Shakespearean ladies this time round & you agreed to Beatrice.

Well, I am a Shakespearean lady. Beatrice is ok if you insist but I am Gloriana really. Shakespeare wrote all those absurd plays for me in the first place. And just look @ my glorious red wig! I think you should reconsider. I really do.

So I have. It seems pretty pointless to argue when I've been typing Gloria all along.

I hear you. We are DIRE need of this rain. We were in a high fire danger period just last week! This is way too late in the season for that!

Having a different theme for each intake is a really smart way to track their ages.
