To my defense. Some people have dogs or cats who snuggle with them at night. Seems that that’s an acceptable practice. But when I mention I have a pet chicken, everyone starts to judge my sanity! Too darn late, I have been judging my sanity since I got these beautiful ladies!

O no! Bad girl Wrold! Well at least she had some good eating for a little while.

I think we've done it, Bob. She's been out & about with the flock all day but I had to fish her out of a nesting box @ roosting time. Ten along the top roost is comfortable. I think the girls have made their displeasure with her known by excluding her from the top bar & she's chosen a nesting box rather than roosting alone. I've had to put her up. Leaving her is asking for trouble. Give her ideas again!

I get that. I’m a pretend vegan. Or pescatarian? I eat fish, my own chickens’ eggs and a little cheese, but avoid meat and other animal foods for the most part. That is, unless it is served to me. I want to be polite snd can’t bear for it to go to waste.
