Nice observations Ribh. I almost feel like I was there.

At my place you just hear flapping and squawking until it gets dark and Tsuki gives up on guarding the coop door.

I know I'm cursing everyone but Aurora has not Gandlafed in quite a while. She is just roosting last.

If the juniors in Tribe 2 go in too early they get bombed out again.
Tack is always last but at least she doesn't head for a tree now. She knows she's going to get a place on the roost bar.

You always make me so hungry.

This is a super easy recipe. I don't believe in lots of hard work just to eat.

Dice up fruit of your choice & set aside.
Decide if you want a 1 egg, 2 egg or 3 egg omelet [it makes no difference to anything but the size of your omelet]
Separate your eggs.
Beat the whites till stiff.
To the yolks add 1 Tabsp of sugar, 1 Tabsp SRF, 1 Tabsp cream & mix to a smooth paste.
Fold yolks into whites.
Pour mixture into a hot frying pan that has a lid.
Cover & cook till bubbles form on the topside.
Flip.
Cook the other side.
Tip out onto a plate. Cover 1 1/2 of the omelet with your fruit. Fold omelet over. Dust lightly with icing sugar & a little cream.​

So is Regan their leader? I love the thought of the little complaining until their leader says ok. I can hear it now.

"The more you wine, the longer you are going too wait! We will go in when I say so"

I'm not sure, Bob. That still seems to be a bit fluid but I've learnt the Vorwerks are fast maturing & she's certainly the biggest, most mature hen @ the moment.

Definitely the smaller girls were forced to wait.

During the heat of the day my littlies tend to hide in the coop. I don't think it's any cooler in there but they seem to prefer it.
Once the breeze picks up in the afternoon they emerge to eat & enjoy the cool until it's bedtime.
Like most young 'uns they aren't keen on going to bed. Even from inside the house I know when the bedtime routine is starting. They get very loud with peeps & squeaks & honks & trills & whistles as the smallest make the 1st suggestive move by roosting on the ramp & making it's bedtime now noises but no~one will enter the coop until Regan leads the way.

Tonight I was getting worried as it was nearly full dark before Regan made her move & there were lots of agitated peeps emanating from Ceres & Olivia. All the smallest, who are a good 1/3 of the bigger girls size, were waiting expectantly @ the bottom of the ramp & were hot on Regan's heels as soon as she made her jump up onto the top of the ramp. Portia followed her, then Ceres & Olivia. Desdemona jumped up & pushed past Titania & Gloriana brought up the rear. I swear she was counting heads to make sure everyone was up safely then promptly barrelled Titania, who was lingering in the doorway, unceremoniously into the coop. I fiddled for a bit as we have big storms about to drench us in rain again & I wanted to make sure my tarp was securely in place.

I also needed to check on my bigger girls as Beatha had been in no hurry to roost either & was a good 20 minutes or more later than even Aoeifa but she was up securely with everyone else.
