They'll love it! They're like kids who need to run off the excess energyShe just has a bit of fowl pox & a pecking injury. Otherwise she's fine. As soon as I can, everyone will be getting a run & that should ease any tensions in the coop.

Marigold despises Rex. She is actually allowing him to stay on the couch with me. She is definitely sleeping with one eye open, but it's amazing to see her so close to him.
Just as well you're so much more experienced now. Imagine if this had happened right at the start! It sure does! I've never had such a run of it. But we haven't had a summer like this since I've had the girls either.
Yep. I hate keeping them cooped up but everyone needs time to adjust to another lot of new girls & my wonky quarantine is the best I can do. Especially as it's not the new girls with symptoms! They'll love it! They're like kids who need to run off the excess energy![]()
I've been doing that with Rex all day today. We've played ball 3 times, he's ran laps in the yard, and he played with the kids outside for about a hour or so.They'll love it! They're like kids who need to run off the excess energy![]()
Now there's something I hadn't considered! I've ordered Amprolium on~line as the vet stuff is pretty much all gone. Hopefully it won't take forever & a day to arrive.Just as well you're so much more experienced now. Imagine if this had happened right at the start!
Getting ready for another round...I've been doing that with Rex all day today. We've played ball 3 times, he's ran laps in the yard, and he played with the kids outside for about a hour or so.
He's finally sleeping while resting his chin on my leg
It has been one of those days. I have been keeping an eye on Ceres for the past couple of days. She just seemed off to me but I couldn't pinpoint what I thought was wrong. I pulled her from the coop a couple of times but there didn't seem to be anything particularly wrong. I began treating her for coccidiosis & this morning pulled her again. She dropped a huge watery poop on my living room floor so she has been inside ~ bathroom isolation. She finally ate some feed with probiotic yoghurt tonight, is drinking & a lot perkier. I have been treating some lesions on her comb & wattles as well. The nastiest seems to be a pecking injury so hopefully she has been treated correctly.
I went out to feed everyone else. The babies were all eating ,drinking & making merry. When I got back the littlest Wyandotte was down & I lost her an hour or so later. No idea what happened. So far as I can tell everyone else is fine ~ but who knows. They are on my kitchen table where I've been able to keep a close eye on them.
I pulled Gloriana this afternoon to put stuff on her wattles & comb too.Wrold is moulting & really miserable with it. Alpia has gone broody. The Vorwerks seems to be doing ok & my older girls are looking really healthy just now, now Lavender isn't constantly plucking them.
