That is a magnolia tree. They don't normally do well this far north but I nursed it along for years until it finally took root and took off. I just love it.

I'm glad Cillin has @ least one hen.

He does pretty well under the circumstances. Most times I see him he has one or two hens with him. None showing any signs of moving in with him yet though.

I think you're thinking of @BY Bob's cats. He has a small grey & a big boofer ~ Norwegian Forest in him if I remember correctly. I have RagdollXs. One is a tuxedo, the other a blotchy mix. The tuxedo is a madman. He's the rafter launcher.

Hinge and Bracket are getting over their last bout of broodiness. Nolia has a secret stash somewhere. I'll be on her case in the morning but she's an irregular layer regarding time of day and that makes tracking difficult.
Lock has taken to pecking me if I take liberties then she goes all affectionate and even climbed on my lap the other day. She's got one stunning curved spur grown while the other is just a fuzzy stump.
Tack, despite the hair style which all the rest of the tribe don't have and notice she does has taken her place as most junior really well. The time one really notices is at roost time; she won't enter the coop until everyone else has chosen their places of the perches.

When I opened the door they reluctantly started heading off.
Seriously, there is nothing remotely interesting on that porch!
The Vorwerks were round but had more sense than to actually climb the stairs.
