Phoenix has no problem breeding...
I have been so taken with your lovely birds I started putting out feelers for some here.
I have finally found a breeder a couple of hours away.
Birds will be expensive but I was expecting that ~ & he won't have any till Spring anyway, if then.
What he did say, which makes your hatch super impressive, is that they can be difficult to breed.
I see from the second photo she's still trying to persuade you to keep still all night longShe started out by hopping up on my knee.View attachment 2689177
She then moved up to my shoulder.

And there she stayed while everyone meandered up to bed until she was forcefully removed.

She would be absolutely delighted!I see from the second photo she's still trying to persuade you to keep still all night long![]()
Strangely enough, no. She is very, very soft but her feathers seem to curl away from me so no tickling. Actually, I don't think frizzles like being stroked ~ which I'm assuming is something to do with their feathering. The Japs rather like to be stroked, as do the Vorwerks & even Gloriana but Lavender hated it & none of my present frizzles like it either. Olivia's presence is always on her terms. She doesn't like for me to pick her up & cuddle her @ all ~ but then I don't need to, do I?Do her feathers tickle much?
