Ribh's D'Coopage

Wow - I struggle to tell if my chickens are too fat or too thin - I have no idea how I would know if an emu was slim!
I saw one at the zoo not so long ago and it seemed a lot bigger. 😁

Of course you don't! :hugs You have no basis for comparison. We all look & him & compare him to the ones we've seen running beside the car, or in the paddock or @ the zoo & go, gosh, he's little! 😆

Good point. I forget that you guys see emu in daily life just like you probably wouldn't be able to judge the size of a raccoon.

I have to fight hordes of them off with a broom every morning to stop them eating the chicken feed! 😆 *

*Kidding, I'm kidding. I only get hordes of cockatoos.😁

It's been a thought for a while now.

I found a position closer to home and still in the science field. I'm also a bit burnt out with direct patient care, so a change is needed all the way around.
To put it bluntly, the doctor is aware of the situation and hasn't made changes. Time to leave or get more authority to make a change. You will be amazed at the stress you didn't even know you were carrying once it's gone.

Put less bluntly: people seek/create/foster the same situations around them that they are familiar with, due to upbringing, training, family dynamics, etc. So the doctor may be great to work with one on one for you, but is accepting of the insanity or not uncomfortable enough with the tension in the office to do anything about it. They aren't trained in self-examination or office management. It might be possible to at least tame the tension and improve things without firing anybody, but that word has to come from the owner, and it hasn't. What do you think that means? I know you like this doctor, but sorry he/she is an inept office manager.

I suggest the doctor make YOU office and hiring manager, with a raise to boot, or you're gone. Because this doctor would likely hire similar replacements anyway, frankly people who fit the dynamic the doctor is comfortable with.

Tax to come...

No, actually. The only time I've seen emus is either out west or @ the zoo. Not enough space for them round here. :D
