I'm not sure what sort of tick you have @Marie2020. Our most dangerous ones are paralysis ticks. As you can see on Luna they get in really hard to remove places. I had a cat who always got them on the rim of his eyelid. Ever try removing a tick from a cat's eyelid? It can't be done. A little vaseline or similar smothers the tick. They can't breath & immediately begin backing out of their victim & eventually just drop off dead. I've never heard ours pump all their venom into their victim before dropping off. I have heard the opposite but can't say for certain. I'd check with your wildlife people. All I know is I've saved lots of animals this way. Using tweezers you're likely to squeeze the tick & that will put venom in the victim.

My gosh. You have the craziest broodies. It is wonderful to see chickens that love to be next to each other.

Yep. Olivia usually seems to have a single egg under her while everyone else cuddles up. She seems to be the head honcho of this particular group.
