This country is difficult and that's putting it mildly I scoured the internet but can't find it here at all.

The that has the same name is yellow and contains paraffin. I'll try again tomorrow I'm exhausted tonight

I do hope I'm not being a problem but if you could possibly give me some the ingredients used I could maybe try making my own.

From Wiki: The main ingredients are often ichthammol, phenyl alcohol, or Arnica montana, and may contain herbs such as echinacea or calendula. I see you can get It on Amazon.

I must admit I really hate ticks. In general I am good with creepy crawlies and generally try and catch them to feed to my Princesses But ticks send shudders down my spine!

I loathe ticks ~ especially paralysis ticks.

Marie, the active ingredient is ichthammol which is also called by its chemical names ammonium bituminosulfonate or ammonium bituminosulphonate. The ointment will also contain some carrying agent like paraffin wax but that is just to make it usable it is not an active ingredient.
It is an unusual name and it is not a branded product so it has many brand names usually using some part of the 'ichth' name.
I posted earlier a link to a site that has it in the UK.
It is a good thing to have in a home medicine cabinet for people or chickens!

Honestly I shut down at the thought of that. You have mentioned them before and my brain cannot take that in. I loathe them even without the paralysis part!
