@BY Bob: one thought I had while negotiating for feed supplies @ my local produce store is a Pm for the relevant people where everyone can post any relevant posts about their flock & thus keep the posts manageable. My only real issue with the idea is its exclusiveness & I'd hate for anyone to get their feelings hurt because they weren't included & we really don't need another thread with masses & masses of posts.

The people not on the “exclusive list” would miss out on a lot of good chicken news, and a lot of informative posts.

The produce store had BrahmaX chicks today. Too cute.
The girl, seeing I was charmed, pointed out the largest, boldest chick but as I pointed out to her it was likely to be a young cockerel & I no wantee. Sadly, she agreed. Besides I don't have heat ~ which is probably a good thing!

Feed store chicks are hard to resist, I know this first hand.
I just spent time at TSC drooling over their Barred Rock babies. I was very tempted but they are straight runs and I also don’t want roosters.
I try to PLAN chicks, anyway, at this point.

I try to plan so I don't need to go to TSC during chick season, or else I send a friend with strict instructions not to return with any chicks. If I have to go I plan a route through the store that keeps me away from them.

I have considered this as well. Others have done this. The decision to do something like that does not preclude duplicate postings, public and private. Duplicate postings are actually easier than tagging (copy, paste).

Their is a real risk of confusion, where did I post that comment? My thought was that if I did something like that I would limit it to tribe updates, Monday Mugs, FBF, etc. stays with the thread and set the ground rules for everyone to try and stay to that topic in an effort to keep it from spinning away from everyone again.

It would by its nature be exclusive. I'm not sure if this is right way to go or not.

I’m sure you are as talented! I don’t design my scrapbook pages, I look for ideas and create my pages using the idea and my papers, photos and embellishments. The only really original stuff I do is the music.

I'm not sure I know anyone as talented as you @Lozz

My daughter loved your multimedia and asked where she could find more of your music. Is there anywhere I can point her to listen to more of your original works?

I must say it doesn't feel great to me to have the 'you are not in my gang' vibe going. And we are all kind hearted so we will be saying oh please invite xxx or yyy and then before you know it we will be back to the same only half duplicated.
It is a tough one for sure.
