So amazing that she has worked her way back. Outstanding!I burnt last night's pasta [still figuring out how hot gas is] so put it out for the girls & was delighted to see Sif, being the only chicken on the patio @ the time, was quick to nab a piece for herself & run off with it before everyone else arrived. She defended her right to it mightily too! And she is starting to peck those she considers subordinate, like Oshina. I carry her out of the shed every morning & put her in @ night but I insist she makes her own way to the patio once she's outside. She is getting faster & steadier each morning. She spends most of her day resting @ the back door where she can see & hear me, though she is exercising more & more each day. The only thing that is truly worrying me just now is her propensity to hurtle toward me when I step outside & nestle between my feet.
Sorry to hear about YD, my brother caught Covid as well. We’re also being deluged, the girls are not impressed!

Soooo… a bit concerned with how long it’s been so wet; Penguin seemed quite off today and I’m despairing at having yet another sick chicken, and one of the new girls too! Coccidiosis has been on my mind the last couple of days but I thought it was pointless giving them medicated water, as they’d probably ignore it and drink the puddles! However, given Penguin’s off behaviour today, I think I will have to keep them in the run for two weeks and give them medicated water. What do other people think?Heaps worse than my yard ~ & none of us were happy with it.
We’re on a slight slope, but not at the bottom. The roads around us flood too, when there is too much rain in a short space of time.My gosh! That's a lot of standing water. Yikes! Is it flat where you live or are you at the bar of a hill?

Can you get a poop test done? Any vet should be able to get it done, not just an avian vet.Soooo… a bit concerned with how long it’s been so wet; Penguin seemed quite off today and I’m despairing at having yet another sick chicken, and one of the new girls too! I can, I’m a little tired of paying money to the vet though! I haven’t given them Amprolium for ages though, so it shouldn’t be increasing resistance. Can you get a poop test done? Any vet should be able to get it done, not just an avian vet.
Another great job ❤We’ve got some internet connection back, woohoo! There’s also a technician coming out tomorrow so hopefully it will be back to normal in 24 hours. In the meantime, I’ve managed to upload my third portrait video, please enjoy. I’ll also post it to @BY Bob ’s thread.
