Ribh's D'Coopage

It is interesting that we have three or possibly four different plants that all share a common name.
Maybe because they all have some kind of white sap that is like milk.
I think it comes from sharing a common ancestry. If it reminded the first settlers of a plant from home they called it that regardless of the science behind it. So we have different plants in different parts of the world called by a common name.

Looks like it has a good bit of calcium.

Other nuggets from Wikipedia are that it is considered invasive in Australia and that it makes a good salad.
I imagine it would make a good salad. One of its names is Hare's lettuce. The young plants look like lettuce but older plants are quite tough. It isn't native but in fact can be quite hard to find as it likes damp conditions. Some years I've never been able to find any @ all because it's been too dry.

ETA wow ~ it's got lots of good stuff in it. No wonder my chooks love it!

Collect some seeds and grow it in the garden for them!

Two of next trimesters text books have arrived. I was considering dropping the research one but that doesn't look too frightening. The other one.... :th

I so, so, so want to do this subject but now I'm terrified. It's science. Proper science. I've been fascinated with archaeology's dead since I saw Tollund Man in Denmark. He looked so peaceful & he needed a shave. Then there was Lindow man in England which YD did in depth with me as part of her history course but I think I may have bitten off more than I can comfortably chew. I will probably enjoy it but passing it is another thing entirely.🙄

That isn’t science it is anatomy. Anatomy is like art. All about shapes and how they fit together. Very cool!
I imagine you will also learn about damage to bones - bite marks vs blade marks etc. now I am seriously jealous!

Well, anatomy is science but I like the art anaology. If I think of it like that I might manage to do it. 🤣 The 1st bit looks ok. That is proceedures & ethics. After that it gets a little dodgier.
