She should take the chick out of the nest a few days after the hatch and show her the food and water. Lay bits of food before the chick.Ok, all you broody experts: Wrold has hatched her chick; the excess eggs have been removed but the silly girl is running round with her chick still acting broody. She is bokking away, fluffed up like a dandelion head & tossing bits of straw over her back. Has never happened before. Should I worry about her?
