Just found my Glenda dead. It had just happened. The birds were all raising a ruckus (we'd put them in early due to rain) and I went out to quiet them down. Found her at the bottom of the roost, dead. She has never had any health issues, even laid her egg today as she does most days, so i guess she flew off the roost for some reason, though all she has to do is hop down, misjudged and hit the wall. Never sick a day in her life, she was Suede's daughter with my Buff Brahma. Poor sweet Glenda. Super sweet broody mama, too. Was just laughing at her yesterday, doing Olympic jumps to get cherries off the tree. She'll be very missed here. She was three years old.

I know the feeling so well. My Big Momma passed away about a month ago. She wasn't sick and was the picture of health. Woke up the next morning and it looked as though she fell off the roost.....

I wish we knew what happend..

Sorry for your loss
