She bonded to me today after I got her. Chirping sounds normal not panicked unless I try to put her down. Will try the Neosporin. She's not bleeding. The wound spray stopped what little of that there was. Don't have betaine. Is there an alternative?

Iodine is what I use for injuries, but this looks really bad so I'm not sure. If you don't have that, hydrogen peroxide also works. I advise you not to use rubbing alcohol to clean the wound, because it will make it more painful for her. Iodine and hydrogen peroxide clean wounds but won't burn, and iodine will dry over the wound and keep bacteria out for longer. I think you should run to your nearest store and get a bottle of iodine and dress the wound with it. I would also give her electrolytes or nutri drench to give her body a perk to help heal. Keep her warm and safe, and keep an eye out for poops. I'm not sure if she will pass poop with that kind of injury, and if she does, the bacteria can get into the wound and cause infection. So make sure if she is pooping, clean the wound very frequently.

Best of luck with this little one, I hope this was somewhat helpful.

The damage looks bad but it’s hard to tell with a picture. If the upper area I have marked in green is pecked flesh wounds I would keep it clean and see how it does.

The yellow arrow I personally think is more concerning. If it’s actually ripped I’d be worried about how well it will stand up to pooping and possible egg laying. I would use a steri strip to “stitch” it shut. Not as traumatic as actual stitches but could help hold it together while it heals.

I would also try to keep foods soft and water intake up. So pooping is easier. If you can get Nutri Drench to give boost

Maybe watered down hydrogen peroxide just a tad as it does sting a little

Good idea, I didn't even notice that tear. I think getting something like a steri strip to keep that tear together so it heals will make a big difference.

I was think this as well some sort of butterfly bandage

Very helpful! She passed only the white part of her poop a few mins ago...looks normal except for small speck of pinkish from the wound.

Would a tiny butterfly or strip bandage to keep the ripped spot closed together be helpful in keeping the majority of the year from being exposed to bacteria? I could wrap some vet tape to keep her from pecking at it. Gave some electrolytes but at the moment she is nestled in, well, my chest. She freaks out when I put her in the brooder. I did not put shavings but a soft towel with a paper towel on top so I can easily keep it and her clean.
