My friend said now that I have chickens, he wants to give me a couple rollers to go in the pen with them.

PROS - CONS please. My kids would get a kick out of them. I don't know if they co-exist well.

As long as the pigeons can get away from the chickens, all is fine. I did w/helmits and bantam chickens. They got along fine but pigeons stayed high.

ive got a few roller & fantail pigeons in with my bantam chickens, i put a feeding platform up high for the pigeon food/water (the chickens can get to it if they want but hardly do) they share the top perch in the coop with the d'uccle trio and the rest of the chickens sleep on lower perchs. they have a 10X20 run, the pigeons perch outside between the pens (on the wire), on the wood perch outside, on the tire 'swing' outside or inside, they seem happy enough with the chickens. we are in the process of collecting materials to build the pigeons special nest boxes (have only had them a few months)

This past summer we kept our rollers, Giant Runts, Tumblers, Helmets, Doves and various chickens all in one community cage without any problems. The kep is to make sure everyone has water, food and shelter from everyone else.

I would love to do this, but my question is my chickens free range so i always have the door open so the chickens can come and go from sun up to sun down and then the coop is all closed up. is there anyway to have pigeons in the coop with the way i have my coop set up?

Depends on if you make a ground level chicken door just big enough for chickens , pigeons are not that bright - if you have plenty of room for them thye should not 'find' the door...

but there IS a risk.

or you seperate the dove are with a beaded curtain or something a little farther away from the door...

//roos for all, food-water chicken/ food-water pigeons(elevated) [Mixed coop] ------- beaded curtain that stops 12 inches from floor = [chicken only area]- chicken door. //

you want it like this so that there is nothing tempting for the pigeons to fly to (food-water) on the chicken only side.

these are my only suggestions
