Rooster in fight with weasel 2 weeks ago

My husband thinks its an empty socket. Hes missing part of his cushion as well. But the black hard callus is what we think hes scratching because its healing under it maybe.
Still won't hurt to remove the crust. The protein breaking agent in dish Soap should help loosen it.

Like Dawn Dish Soap in warm water.

My rooster was in a fight with weasel 2 weeks ago his eye is no better. Attached is a picture. He is eating and drinking. But not really walking much very unsteady. Can i put him back with hens? Its his far vision eye. I also have another rooster i have tried soaks, abx ointment, eye gel.

I dont know its got a hard cruat over it. I warms soak it but cant seem to get it off.
I would keep him separated, by your description he is not well enough to be with his flock, much less around another rooster.

Have you been applying ointment daily for the last 2 weeks?
What does the other side of his head look like?

Has he been able to eat/drink on his own?

Update on Tom the scab/ hard black area came off that he was constantly scratching. He actually scratched it off himself and his eye is still there!!! It is red and swollen, but he is constantly scratching still that it is starting to get all dark and hard again...any suggestions or thoughts on this?? I do not know what to do for him or how to help him at this point.
