Rooster mating at 8 weeks

i just bought a new rooster he is 8 weeks old and he already started mating with my 14 month old chickens but I thought he was too young to fertilize eggs. Is he actually fertilizing eggs or is he just mating because I wanna start having Babies and I don’t wanna put infertile eggs under a chicken.

What breed is he? Are you sure h is only 8 weeks, Thai seems to me young. Most breeds are 4 to 6 months a old before breeding. Can you post a pic?

I have an EE rooster that started mating when he was around 8 weeks old, too. I've had him since he was a couple of days old. Because of his severe crossbeak, he's a house rooster so I keep a pretty close eye on him.

The first time he mated, it was with my dog's foot and now he mates with her favorite stuffie. It's pretty comical.

He's around 16-20 weeks old. Not anywhere close to 8 weeks.
