Looks like a hen to me. She just doesn’t have a beard like your other hen.

I'm pretty sure it's a hen. For context, this is my 7 month old silkie cockerel. See his streamer feathers on the back of his head?

Yes. I noticed a few longer feathers on top of Spice but they aren’t as long. Much more obvious when clean.

I have a very sweet EE Roo that does go in the nestbox often. If there are eggs, he will sit on them for quite awhile. I'm not sure he'd actually stay an entire term & hatch them, I collect eggs 2x daily, but he does enjoy sitting in the nest box, especially when we get the very rainy days & they are all just hanging in the dry coop anyway. He is the sweetest boy.

EE is an Easter egger. They are mutts designed to more likely than not lay colored eggs
