I agree you have a Barred Rock cockerel. The stores usually get their chicks from hatcheries which have a 90% guarantee of pullets so there is a chance to get a cockerel. Good luck and have fun...

yes, both of the last two chickens are very nice I’m so happy to have them. I squat by them and they jump up on my arm. I’ve never had such sweet birds

True except Dominques have Rose Combs.
