This morning I woke to a totally different sound, my rooster is cockle doodle doing with a horse voice? Can they catch colds? He looks fine, eating and drinking. No runny nose or anything that I can tell. What else should I check for?

My rooster did that for a week once, but I dont know what caused it????
I would like to know too though???????

Occasionally a rooster can crow himself hoarse, especially if you have more than one. But Id check for gapeworm just in case. Take a q tip and carefully Swab his throat. If you see little specks of blood, treat for gapeworm. Don't be alarmed, it could be nothing, but better safe than sorry. Good luck!

My rooster started with sour throat after few days he had white spots on his comb ...i took him to the vet she said it is virus infection ...she gave me malti vitamin and antiboitic to desolve in the folck drinking water ....that was three days ago and the rooster starts showing improvment

How far down his throat should I put q tip in his throat
