This morning I woke to a totally different sound, my rooster is cockle doodle doing with a horse voice? Can they catch colds? He looks fine, eating and drinking. No runny nose or anything that I can tell. What else should I check for?

How far down his throat should I put q tip in his throatOccasionally a rooster can crow himself hoarse, especially if you have more than one. But Id check for gapeworm just in case. Take a q tip and carefully Swab his throat. If you see little specks of blood, treat for gapeworm. Don't be alarmed, it could be nothing, but better safe than sorry. Good luck!
