Hi all! I have this Easter egger (I think male) who I believe is developing a rose comb. I’d be delighted, but does anyone have any Easter egger a with rose combs? I was thinking they pretty much had pea comb and the occasional straight comb.....just looking for thoughts. I attached pics

cheers!
M

For clarification, the reason I thought it may be a rose comb is because it’s much larger and wider than any pea combs in my entire flock of 3 week old EEs, or of any chicken I’ve ever owned with pea combs, at this age. I understand he’s an Easter egger, and EE combs are unique was just curious if anyone had an EE with rose comb is all. Thanks

His pea comb is larger because he’s likely a cockerel. There are EEs with rose combs, but not from hatcheries, since hatcheries breed them with EE x EE crosses, meaning the rose comb gene isn’t introduced. However, first generation Easter eggers (like an ameraucana x wyandotte, for instance) can have rose or walnut (rose/pea combination) combs.
