Rosemary, my little bantam mix hen, finally hatched one lone little egg on Sunday night. The other 3 were no good when I candled them but this single little one hatched, thank goodness. Basil, my bantam roo, is quite the proud daddy.. He flies up on the coop I'm keeping her in and crows constantly
After having standards, I forgot just how tiny bantam chicks are! This little one is like a half dollar, if that!
Isn't she adorable? She was still wobbly yesterday.
Snuggled up with mama, Rosemary.
Her name will be Lavender if she's pullet like I'm hoping. Sticking with the herb theme for my bantam mixes.
Now I'm waiting on Sage, Rosemary's sister... She has 6 eggs, all appear alive and well at last candling
I'm going to have fun coming up with 6 herb names for those littles
Thanks for looking!
