Rubber Egg!!

Ok had one of those shelless eggs tonight. Kinda wierd and rubbery with what looked like an embilical cord attached

make sure they have free choice oyster shell to eat. But, once in awhile, a very young layer will have this happen; nothing to worry about, but they certainly ARE weird!
 
Yep first one of those, they have been laying for over amonth now. Get oyster shell tomorrow at feed store.
 
:cdHi evryone, i have a 5 m old pullet, S he just started to lay.. she has layed 4 eggs, all soft shells... They have some were about 3' long and not formed good... will she ever straightn up.... the rest are doing find, picking up in production..... The are rir....Love this site pple here ARE just great....

I had a few of those when my BR started laying. It's really gross when it's warm, you pick it up, and it breaks in your hand.

It was just a fluke of her getting used to laying. Her eggs are fine now.
