I will! I got home and ran right to the bator (DH laughed at me cause I almost ran him over to get past him LOL!) So far no external pips, and I just candled them, there's no internal pipping either. The air sacs got a bit bigger, but not even close to where they need to be for hatching, I'm praying they don't start to hatch until they get bigger

. I really hope they aren't small because I had the humidity too high, I'll feel like crap if it's my fault something happened to them (and my kids will prob be pretty mad at me lol) If all goes well we will hopefully have 2 ducklings on May 6th

Aw that's cool, they're due on my b.day! Hehe I'm still like it now they've hatched. The first thing I do when I get in is run to the brooder rather than my bf! Oh well!

I am still pretty new to the duck game.....

The low tomorrow night is going to be 38 F..... will Richard, my runner be okay to stay in the coop? He is full grown, this will just be our first cold night since we have had him. Should i add more bedding to his coop?

I think I may be over-thinking it and he will be fine.. i just need a little pat on the back!

our Runners sleep in their uninsulated coop when it is 20 degree's below zero F and windy.

I am so excited! My DH had bought us chicken eggs and duck eggs at the same time. I was worried because I never did chicken and duck eggs at the same time! So, last Saturday we hatched 18 chicks. Those chicks had a field day with the poor duck eggs in there....I just knew they wouldn't survive an additional week...but I candled them tonight and I see life in 4 of the 5 eggs! I am hoping the 5th egg was just asleep! Anyway, they are now in lockdown and hopefully, I will have little runner ducks this weekend! Yea! (Stonykill, one egg died early, but am really excited about these 4..maybe 5!)
