So we have picked the 3 silvers up and our Swedish blacks ain't happy they have taken refuge in the house and won't let the girls in think the runners will be in the other house tonight

did anyone else have trouble introducing new ducks in the flock

We seperated them tonight will put them out together tomorrow and see how they go , angelo one of the black swede male has been showing a little aggression chasing the girls n
bashing heads n rubbing necks is this mating?he was Neva like this wiv the female swede only started doing this today since the girl runners were in the pen

WOW Amiga, I just read through your thread. So sorry for your loss. I looks like things are getting better though.

An update on our wounded runner. She back with the rest of the flock again. Totally blind in one eye and usually seems somewhat lost. She still squeaks like a duckling too but seems to get along ok so far. Bonnie has been moved out of the pen and into the chicken pen with Clyde, he's much happier.

Things are pretty good. Since spring, hormones have made for some discord and we have two flocks, side by side.

Question does anyone here have a runner that sounds like a pig?? I have 1 that sound just like one.

Pig sounds? Like snorting? At night? All the time? Have you any reason to suspect respiratory or sinus problem?

No I do not assume it has to do with sinuses or such things. It is when it quacks. It comes out like a pig. Its not like a snort either. I will see if I can record it some how and put it in here.
