I am totally stumped. I got 4 silkie bantams from TSC about 2 weeks ago, but one seems to be not growing AT ALL! It's name is MoonPie. 🥰 Yes, it has grown a bit, but it is SO MUCH smaller than my other babies. Fortunately they don't pick on it, but I'm curious as to why it's so much smaller.

I took some pictures of MoonPie compared to one of the other silkies. If anyone has any input, I'm always open to learning & comparing theories! 💗

How is MoonPie doing?
MoonPie is doing great! 🤗 I've been taking them all out in a little pool that's filled with hay to play in (so the larger chickens can get used to them) & they've been enjoying taking a dirt bath in a pan. lol
To be honest, I haven't really noticed any more growth. Feathers are coming in great, eating & drinking is good.. I think he/she may just be a baby forever! 😅 I remember having a bantam when I was younger & she was SO SMALL! The bantams I have now are much bigger than I remember her being. Maybe MoonPie is just petite. 🤭
We are fully prepared for him/her to be picked on though. At TSC the other day my husband made a comment on their display chicken coops. He said, "Hey! That looks like a MoonPie size house for the porch!" 😍
