I just know they are both going to be alright. The question to you is "are YOU taking care of yourself?" If not please slow down, and take some time for yourself. You know I have the hurt dog
too that is taking some of my Sadie time. What you didn't know is I also have a yellow buff opington with a hurt leg I have been working with doing her physical therapy with her for several hours a day during all this mess. I slept all day today. All this stress finally caught me and my poor 90lb body couldn't take any more pushing it. I mean slept all day. I keep depriving myself to help these animals up,s and going but I finally broke down. WOW. I am thankful I have friends concerned over this situation but you can't keep running on empty forever. Finally you will run out. With the eating disorder I have I'm surprised it didn't happen before now. Hey and your words of encourgment{sp} have helped me more than you will know. Hang in there because I KNOW EXACTUALTY WHAT YOUR GOING THROUGH. Hug's to ya'll and talk to you soon. Please let me know of any changes and I will be here if you need me.

Your friends,
Sara & Sadie

P.S, hugs from Sweetpea{the dog, not the one that did the attack} and my yellow buff too.
I might have to drive across that stateline and check you guys out. Its only a 30 min drive to the waffle house on 27 where I used to work. PEACE

Sadie's wing is ready to come off, Test shows she has no feeling in the wing and this weekend we were going to finish off the process. After talking to dhlunicorn for a lenghty time the decission was made to wait for a bit and see if the wing will come off by itself. Less trama to her and since the wing isn't bothering her this seems like the best possible to thing to do for her a this time.

Tonight she has went back to eating her chick starter which to me is a good sigh since I haven't been able to get her to eat it before today. I was soooo afraid I would be cooking for this chicken for the rest of her life. lol Big time spoiled and has a right to be,

I will keep her recovery posted and will have pics just as soon as our girl feels like posing. lol Should not be long from now.

Thanks everyone,

SARA & SADIE

Hey Sarah! Great to hear Sadie is doing so good!!! I hope you have gotten a bit of rest and slowed down some. I am worried about you. I hope the dog and the buff hen are both recovering well also.
Dickie is managing pretty well. He is trying to use the wing some and is now escaping from the tote that I had him houses in. LOL I find him taking a stroll down my hall often! I had to go out to the barn and make him a cozy enclosure there so he would stay warm and dry but have room to roam about some. My furniture would be a mess if he stayed in the house!
We need to meet for coffe at the Waffle House one day after all this is over

Today after examining Sadie I had to call the old man in to see if he was seeing what I thought I saw. Snakeman doesn't check her 1000 times a day like I do. From the underside of the wing you can clearly tell that the band has cut through a major part of her wing. This makes me think the wing will come off today or maybe tomorrow. Which ever it will not be long now. I am extremely happy with what I saw, and I'm thankful I had dhlunicorn{diane} to instruct me to leave it alone for a while longer. It is really nice having her help especially in my case not haveing any idea what I'm doing, although I feel like a pro now. lol PAT YOURSELF ON THE BACK DIANE. Also I could not have managed to survive mentally what I was going through without all the support I got from all you guy. Thanks to each and every one of you and a big applause to ya'll.

Now we are not out of the woods totally but I would say we are at about 95%. I LIKE THOSE ODD'S

Something I will always remember: Try not to think some things are impossibe because they may very well be POSSIBLE!!!!!!!!
