When I am candling I can see him tapping on the shell with his billWhat do you mean by pecking exactly? Like, you hear a clicking sound? Chewing motions? Or you can see baby trying to pip when you candle?
Tapping and pecking aren’t really what it looks like when a baby is trying to pip.. so I’m guessing baby is still okay for now. Pipping attempts, you should see baby move back, push against the shell, and then wait a little while before trying again. I’ve also heard distressed calls from babies that are trying to pip and failing, different from the usual chatter.
A video might be nice if you can get it.
Ok I have two videos I just put in here from different angles. Apologies for the noise in the background, my kids are loudly watching tv and playing games at the same time in the other roomTapping and pecking aren’t really what it looks like when a baby is trying to pip.. so I’m guessing baby is still okay for now. This isn’t any helpful information because I know nothing about this but that video is SO cool. Being able to see and hear that baby inside the egg is amazing!
