Safety Hole? Concerns

If it was a normal egg in the incubator, I would say go ahead and wait till 48 hours or even longer before assisting. But because of this eggs’ unusual circumstances I can understand if you might want to assist a little sooner. If you do assist, just only open up the aircell a little to check for veins. Moisten the membrane, if you see veins, put the egg back and check again in a few hours (but keep making sure the membrane stays moist).

Do you think the egg is on day 27 now?

It’s really hard for me to know exactly the age because she laid them all in an area that I didn’t frequent. I found them all, I believe days ago, these are the photos of me candling the day I found them. I figured they were at least a week old but i am not sure, because momma was with them I didn’t think to track dates so I’m guessing best I can. However these photos attached were taken 23 days ago (based on my phone)

Here is a video I just took, of course he didn’t talk much. I can feel some tapping on the shell. Other than that I haven’t noticed many changes, he may be breathing a little faster than yesterday? Idk
That baby is still chewing and not ready to hatch, but I agree, 36 hours is quite awhile for no more progress. If you’d like to do a small partial assist just so baby can have more air, you may.. Realistically, this baby should hatch later tonight.

Do we have concerns about lack of air at this point with the hole at that size? We are at 38 hrs since external pip now.
