Saint Pigeons

Oh forgot to mention, there are different breeds of pigeons with them in the pics lol, a Pouter in the first and an Owl in the second. The birds in question are on the left in the first pic and right in the second.

Yours do appear to have Saint blood in them

Not show quality, but still Saint-like. They are still being worked on. Could be a tumbler x Saint mix.

Monk mark, the white creates a "cap" on the head, in line with the eye. It's also called "friar's cap". Sometimes it will come down below the eyeline but not as far into the neck as most baldheads do. Some breeds call for the cap to be in line with the eye and not extend down any farther. Others do go down a bit more. In Monk pigeons for example, the line may start at the beak and go back. Monk and baldhead are caused by the baldhead gene. It's just a variation of it.

I had 5 Bald head rollers of unknown breeding (from 2 sources) with the kind of conformation and coloring of the WOE. They were clean legged though and pretty small (7 maybe 8" long). I would love to have another kit if I knew what they were. I think they also had a little smaller, more refined, head with alot less "stop". They could have been tumblers of some sort too, I just assumed they were bred out of birmingham stock.

Do you remember how they flew Ritter? If you can remember the specifics, that can help narrow down the options for you. Pulled up an easy-to-refer to page on some differences, and low and behold, Mary-of-Exeter was someone who offered a helpful distinction between flying techniques of rollers and tumblers.

PS. For some reference to start with:

A performing/flying baldhead roller out of Birmingham stock:

A baldheaded (Right? Or is that kind of borderline?) Spanish little friar tumbler:

I do hear of a lot of people using Cats (Catalonian tumblers):

English long and short faced tumblers are another clean legged tumbler I see around a lot, but mainly I see WOEs. LFCLs (long face, clean legged) tumblers are the kind I most commonly see listed as "baldhead tumblers". Not sure if these are show or performance though:

I am really bad with tumblers though, so can't help you out beyond that. XP Hope you can re-connect with whatever breed you used to have though!

Punk-a-doodle-That 1st pic (the baldhead roller) is really close in apearance. I think mine were just a tad thinner through the crop and body and, mine were all black pattern baldheads. I can't say as I ever saw one do a manuver other than wing clapping though, maybe one or two rolls now and again. That short face is way off on conformation but almost dead on in color( the head marking on the 1st roller is an exact match). The cats head shape is a dead on match to mine but the color is way off and they were a little longer legged and shorter necked. I will also add that I almost never supervised their flying and also flew a birmingham or 2, ~ 1/2 doz. ferals, and a fantail of sorts with them, they all did wing claps and some sort of wissle when they flew so it was hard to tell who did what. Also my dead on birminghams never rolled for me either (that I saw) so it's hard telling. It's really hard to tell size from pictures so I'm going off of propotion and appearance here, so I might be off.

That looks pretty similar, not sure. Since these two were not banded I really have no clue.
